First a photo of the empty section is taken. Keeping note of the focal length, direction and time of day can be useful later when it comes to the photomatch. It is also handy to have an object to use as a reference of scale.
3D Model

Second step is creating a 3D model. It can be modelled from a CAD file or any 2D drawing. The model is then matched to fit into the photo.

The final step is adding the textures, lights and a bit of photoshop magic. At this stage it is easy to make changes and try new materials, colours etc. The possibilities are endless!
